All Four Jushe Hostel Locations in Hefei Are Now Open

Jushe Hostel has opened all four of its Hefei locations: HFUT South Campus, West Qilitang, Sanxiaokou, and Hefei Railway Station. Every one of them sits within walking distance of a metro station, runs the same standardized setup and the same service process, and starts at 19 RMB a night with no deposit and 24-hour self check-in.

This is the first time since we started out in April 2025 that we have covered one city's core districts this thoroughly. If you have just landed in Hefei and haven't gotten settled yet, it means that whichever direction your interview is in, and whatever time your train pulls in, there is a bed inside a reasonable commute that you can sleep in tonight.

Four locations, four ways to land

HFUT South Campus Subway Station — 200 meters from Exit A of HFUT station on Line 1, roughly a three-minute walk. Five stops gets you to Hefei Railway Station or Hefei South Station, so rail connections are painless. You are right beside the HFUT campus, Baohe Wanda, and the Ningguo Road food street. This is the one to pick if you are studying for the postgraduate entrance exam, working a campus recruiting season, or passing through for a few weeks. Ten-bed rooms start at 19 RMB a night, with 8-, 6-, and 4-bed rooms also available, plus weekly and monthly rates for longer stays.

West Qilitang Subway Station — two lines at the door, Line 2 and Line 3, about 300 meters from Exit A. You are next to the Sanlian commercial hub, Heart City, and the Guanting Road food street. Meals, groceries, a haircut, a SIM card: all of it is a few minutes on foot. This is the most convenient of the four for day-to-day living. Ten-bed rooms start at 19 RMB a night.

Sanxiaokou Subway Station — Line 2 and Line 5 meet here, in the dead center of Hefei, one street over from the pedestrian mall, with the historic Chenghuang Temple area close by. If you came to Hefei to actually feel the city, stay here. Ten-bed rooms start at 19 RMB a night.

Hefei Railway Station — Line 1 and Line 3, and about a five-minute walk to the station entrance. Late arrivals and early departures do not turn into a taxi scramble. Baima Clothing City is right there, which makes this a natural base for business travelers and wholesale buyers. Men's 10-bed rooms start at 19 RMB a night, and there is a women's 8-bed room as well.

One standard everywhere: not a cheap hostel, a standardized youth hotel

All four locations run the same hardware. Every bed is a purpose-built wooden bunk with its own locking storage cabinet, privacy curtain, reading light, 220V outlet, and USB port. Phone, laptop, and power bank can all charge at once, so nobody is fighting over an outlet. The cabinet holds a large backpack or a 20-inch suitcase without a struggle.

The common areas are where Jushe departs most sharply from a traditional bunk room. Each location has a 100–300 m² shared lounge and a free study room. Rewriting a resume, sending applications, sitting an online class, taking a remote interview: there is a quiet place to do it, and you do not have to buy a 30-RMB americano to rent a chair. There are also gender-specific QR-code washers and dryers (2–3 RMB a load), 24-hour hot and cold filtered drinking water, individual air conditioning, hair dryers, a dedicated smoking area, and a drying area.

Shower areas are split into men's and women's zones, with private stalls and hot water around the clock. Disposable toiletry kits, shampoo and body wash, and slippers are free. Bedding is changed for every guest and washed and sanitized at high temperature by a third-party specialist. Common areas and bathrooms get one deep clean every morning, then an inspection-and-clean round every hour after that, adding up to more than 15 rounds a day. Guest rooms are cleaned twice daily, morning and afternoon. Luggage storage is free, so if you get into Hefei before check-in opens, you can drop your bag and head straight to the interview.

No deposit, priced by the day: taking the barriers out of renting

Conventional renting is unkind to someone who just showed up in a city. Six-month minimum, one month's deposit plus three months up front, agency fee on top — you are handing over four or five thousand RMB at a moment when you may not even have an offer yet. Sign a one-year lease before your job is settled and you are paying a penalty to break it early.

Jushe takes those barriers out: no deposit, a one-night minimum, no maximum, daily / weekly / monthly pricing, utilities included, and check out whenever you want. Check-in is self-service from end to end: book online, register with your ID at the kiosk, get your door code on the printed slip and by text at the same time, let yourself in. Any hour of the day, including the middle of the night — someone is on-site if you need them. Bring valid ID; registration is filed with public security. Men and women stay in separate rooms. There are no mixed dorms.

Why we hold out for metro-side locations

The cost people underestimate most when job hunting in a new city is time. Staying somewhere out of the way might save you fifteen RMB a day, but if every interview costs you two extra hours of travel, a week of that is a full day gone. Hefei's rail network is built out now, and from a metro entrance you can usually cross most of the city in 30 minutes to an hour.

So our site selection has exactly one hard rule: the metro has to be right outside the door. The four locations sit on key stations across Lines 1, 2, 3, and 5, covering Hefei Railway Station, Hefei South Station, the downtown shopping districts, the university belt, and the Baohe area. The name Jushe (橘舍) comes from ju, the tangerine — that orange warmth and energy — and she, a dwelling, the kind of place you feel settled in. We build for young people arriving from out of town for work, bridging a gap between jobs, or renting flexibly for a stretch, and the whole idea is affordable, convenient, and dignified.
